My skincare journey..

Good Evening beauties,

This is a post that I’m a little nervous for, but I am so impressed with my recent results that I just had to share it with you all.

I’ve never ever had good skin, for as long as I remember I have always suffered with redness, blemishes and verging on spot acne. I have been through hundreds of skin care products and the products which always used to work for me were from The Body Shop, they would clear up my skin for a while and it was almost as if they stopped having an effect on me after using them for a couple of weeks and then my skin would go back to a horrible mess. I didn’t used to take pictures of myself without make up as I hated what I saw so you’ll just have to take my word for how bad my skin was but here is what my skin looks like at the moment, it’s definitely not perfect but it is a million times better than it used to be.

After many years of trial and error, I was introduced to the Seaweed collection at The Body Shop. This has changed everything, I started to use the products on a daily basis after finding out my skin type was combination/oily and I’d had a lot of recommendations for this range.

My morning routine starts with the ‘Purifying Cleanser’ and then I use the ‘Gel Day Cream’, this day moisturiser dries so quickly so I don’t find myself having to wait for ages before I can apply my make up. My evening routine starts with the ‘Deep Cleansing Facial Wash’, followed by the ‘Oil-Control Overnight Gel’ and I use the clay mask around twice a week.

If you suffer with similar issues to me when it comes to your skin then I cannot recommend this range enough (as well as making a super special effort to drink lots of water!!!!), it’s not overly expensive and The Body Shop often have discounts floating around. Find the range here:

Morphe 35T palette review

Hello lovlies,

I have been MIA for the past couple of weeks, no major reason behind it, I’ve just been super busy and haven’t had much inspiration but I’m hoping now life has calmed down a bit that I’ll be able to put a lot more time aside for my blog posts.

This post is another review of an eye shadow palette, it is the Morphe 35t. I have wanted a Morphe palette for a while and had been eyeing this one up for the past month or so. I was a little sceptical on this palette as a lot of pictures that I saw, the shades looked really similar and I wondered if it was a bit of a waste of money. I ended up buying the palette after figuring that I could never have enough rose gold/brown toned shades, as that’s all I usually wear anyway.

I took a picture of the eye shadows in the sun light so you can see the glitter/shimmer in some of the colours. It has an impressive mix of shimmer, metallic, satin and matte shades. You can produce a nice subtle eye as well as a full out glam look and that is something I really like in a palette. The formula of the eye shadows is very creamy, which makes applying these an absolute dream.

Lastly, the price, I cannot begin to describe how good value for money this palette is. I got it off Beauty Bay  and it cost £18.25 with free delivery, there are 35 shades so this works out to 52p a shade. The palette arrived 2 days after placing the order so if you’re ever wondering whether to make a purchase on Beauty Bay, I would definitely recommend the service.

Thanks for reading, let me know what you think of the Morphe products, is there anything else you think I’d love?

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette..

Happy Sunday everyone!

I know I’m pretty late to this one but I wanted to write a post on my thoughts of the Too Faced Chocolate Bar eye palette. I purchased this palette about a month ago, from Debenhams for £39.

All of the colours in this palette are super wearable and after using this palette pretty much everyday since I bought it I have created lots of different looks and managed to use every shade, there is a nice variation of shimmers and mattes. My favourite shades have to be Haute Chocolate, Marzipan and Black Forest Truffle.

The palette is inspired by Too Faced’s Chocolate Bronzers, with the added bonus of the products ACTUALLY smelling of chocolate. Sometimes that can be overwhelming at 6:30am when you’re getting ready for work, but it’s a really unique trait.

Another thing I love about the product is the large mirror it comes with along the top, I really like my palettes to have a mirror as they’re super handy for when you’re on the go.

Let me know if you have this product, and if you’d recommend anything else from Too Faced as I’m pretty new to the brand.

What I Got For My Birthday..

Hello guys!

My birthday was a few weeks ago now but I’ve only just put everything away and really been able to appreciate how lucky I was! I thought I’d do a little post to show you all what I was gifted, I’m unable to write about everything I was bought, as I said i was extremely lucky and received lots, but here are a few.

I was lucky enough to receive two amazing perfumes from my fiancé, Jake. He bought me the Jo Malone ‘Earl Grey and Cucumber’ cologne and the YSL Black Opium. These are very different scents and although the Jo Malone one sounds super strange it is actually one of the most beautiful and feminine scents I own.

Along with the perfumes, Jake also bought me the Zoeva ‘Complete Eye Brush Set’, this came with 12 eye brushes and a gorgeous little bag to put them in. I haven’t stopped using these since my birthday and I cannot believe how applying my eye make up has improved, it is definitely down to these beauties.

I received a Fitbit Alta from my parents, now the wedding is getting closer I am needing to step up the exercise game. What I love about this is the leaderboard, it encourages me to do more exercise as I don’t want to be bottom! My parents also bought me two tickets to meet Tanya Burr in Norwich this coming Sunday, which I am VERY excited about

My younger brother bought me a really thoughtful present, it is a rose gold chain bracelet with my initial and birth stone as charms. I absolutely loved this and I’m still convinced he MUST have had some sort of help as what 18 year old boy can get a present so right?! (I couldn’t take a good picture of my one so here’s a picture from the website)

I am so thankful for all the presents and money I received, I thought that turning 22 I wouldn’t receive as many gifts yet every year I am always spoilt rotten!

Hope you enjoyed reading, let me know if you have any of these products and what you think of them!

Favourite of the week – Barry M Lip Oil

Hello lovlies,

So my favourite of this week is the new Barry M Lip Oil, especially the ‘Berry Good’ edition. It has Raspberry and Pomegranate oils in to moisturise and condition the lips. I was very sceptical at first buying this as I have a hatred towards sticky lip products, but for £5 I didn’t have much to lose.

I was so impressed at the consistency of these lip products, they are a thick oil but feel really nourishing on the lips AND they’re not sticky!! The colour pay off is probably the one thing I would criticise as I can barely notice the berry tones on my lips, but I usually only wear this when I’m chilling around the house anyway, so the lack of colour isn’t too much of an issue. I also wanted to mention the applicator on these, it twists round whilst you’re applying it to your lips. At first I thought it was a little pointless but after using it a few times I do think it has helped apply the oil.

The smell really reminds me of the ‘I Love… Raspberry and Blackberry Shower and Bath Creme’, a really scrummy berry scent.

I’d definitely give this a try if you can. A really good dupe for the Clarins lip oil and for a quarter of the price!

Zoella Beauty – Sweet Inspirations

Hey guys!

Today I’m doing a sort of review/first impression post on the new launch from Zoella Beauty. From the past ranges that Zoe has released (Classic and Tutti Fruity), the Classic scent was definitely my favourite. I did find, especially with the spritz, that the scent could sometimes be a little overpowering and I didn’t find myself leaning towards it that muhc. I prefer sweet scents so when I heard the hype of the Sweet Inspirations range I knew I had to give it a go. I also think the packaging is a lot more ‘adult’ and reaches out to a much wider audience that the previous products, I think if I were to design a beauty range, it would look a lot like these.

Rather than purchasing everything I decided to opt for the products that I would definitely use. I went for the Spritz, Bath Latte and Life is sweet bag. Firstly, the scent is massively up my street, I have smelt anything like this, the best way I can describe it is a musky vanilla/almond scent but you honestly have to go and give it a spray when you’re next around a Superdrug. I think it would make an AMAZING candle so I hope that could be one for the future as well! The ‘Bath Latte’ lathers up really well in the bath/shower and I find the scent stays on my skin for a while after so that is definitely the bath product I’m leaning towards at the moment.

I had to buy the small ‘Life is sweet’ bag as it is such girly, frilly delight. It is a gorgeous muted purple/grey toned bag (similar colour to Palma Violets) and it fits the perfect essential on-the-go make up.

I can’t praise these enough, I will definitely be purchasing the other products in the range as soon as I can. If you ever get the chance to test these then PLEASE do, I can’t imagine this scent being disliked by anyone. The prices are super reasonable too!

Thanks for reading,

Birthday fun!

Hey guys,

It’s my 22nd birthday tomorrow and I have a week off work so thought I’d let you all know what I’m up to. I live alone with my fiancé so on the day of my birthday we will probably just have a lazy morning in and then head out for a meal and drinks later on in the evening.

The next trip I have planned is to London Zoo on Wednesday, we are off early in the morning and get a train back later in the evening so we can have a few drinks after a long day walking around the zoo. I love animals, especially Tigers and Lions so I am super excited to go back to my favourite zoo, I haven’t been in so many years.

We were also thinking about taking a train to Cambridge one of the days we have left, it’s only about an hour train ride from where we live, and if the weathers nice there is so much to do around that area.

Depending on what I get for my birthday I’ll also want to have a little play with my new things. I have asked for A LOT of make up so I’m really looking forward to seeing what I get, but of course, the main thing is that I get to spend the day with my favourites!

Have a good week lovelies,

Tori Moore xoxo
