Morphe 35T palette review

Hello lovlies,

I have been MIA for the past couple of weeks, no major reason behind it, I’ve just been super busy and haven’t had much inspiration but I’m hoping now life has calmed down a bit that I’ll be able to put a lot more time aside for my blog posts.

This post is another review of an eye shadow palette, it is the Morphe 35t. I have wanted a Morphe palette for a while and had been eyeing this one up for the past month or so. I was a little sceptical on this palette as a lot of pictures that I saw, the shades looked really similar and I wondered if it was a bit of a waste of money. I ended up buying the palette after figuring that I could never have enough rose gold/brown toned shades, as that’s all I usually wear anyway.

I took a picture of the eye shadows in the sun light so you can see the glitter/shimmer in some of the colours. It has an impressive mix of shimmer, metallic, satin and matte shades. You can produce a nice subtle eye as well as a full out glam look and that is something I really like in a palette. The formula of the eye shadows is very creamy, which makes applying these an absolute dream.

Lastly, the price, I cannot begin to describe how good value for money this palette is. I got it off Beauty Bay  and it cost £18.25 with free delivery, there are 35 shades so this works out to 52p a shade. The palette arrived 2 days after placing the order so if you’re ever wondering whether to make a purchase on Beauty Bay, I would definitely recommend the service.

Thanks for reading, let me know what you think of the Morphe products, is there anything else you think I’d love?

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette..

Happy Sunday everyone!

I know I’m pretty late to this one but I wanted to write a post on my thoughts of the Too Faced Chocolate Bar eye palette. I purchased this palette about a month ago, from Debenhams for £39.

All of the colours in this palette are super wearable and after using this palette pretty much everyday since I bought it I have created lots of different looks and managed to use every shade, there is a nice variation of shimmers and mattes. My favourite shades have to be Haute Chocolate, Marzipan and Black Forest Truffle.

The palette is inspired by Too Faced’s Chocolate Bronzers, with the added bonus of the products ACTUALLY smelling of chocolate. Sometimes that can be overwhelming at 6:30am when you’re getting ready for work, but it’s a really unique trait.

Another thing I love about the product is the large mirror it comes with along the top, I really like my palettes to have a mirror as they’re super handy for when you’re on the go.

Let me know if you have this product, and if you’d recommend anything else from Too Faced as I’m pretty new to the brand.

Zoella Beauty – Sweet Inspirations

Hey guys!

Today I’m doing a sort of review/first impression post on the new launch from Zoella Beauty. From the past ranges that Zoe has released (Classic and Tutti Fruity), the Classic scent was definitely my favourite. I did find, especially with the spritz, that the scent could sometimes be a little overpowering and I didn’t find myself leaning towards it that muhc. I prefer sweet scents so when I heard the hype of the Sweet Inspirations range I knew I had to give it a go. I also think the packaging is a lot more ‘adult’ and reaches out to a much wider audience that the previous products, I think if I were to design a beauty range, it would look a lot like these.

Rather than purchasing everything I decided to opt for the products that I would definitely use. I went for the Spritz, Bath Latte and Life is sweet bag. Firstly, the scent is massively up my street, I have smelt anything like this, the best way I can describe it is a musky vanilla/almond scent but you honestly have to go and give it a spray when you’re next around a Superdrug. I think it would make an AMAZING candle so I hope that could be one for the future as well! The ‘Bath Latte’ lathers up really well in the bath/shower and I find the scent stays on my skin for a while after so that is definitely the bath product I’m leaning towards at the moment.

I had to buy the small ‘Life is sweet’ bag as it is such girly, frilly delight. It is a gorgeous muted purple/grey toned bag (similar colour to Palma Violets) and it fits the perfect essential on-the-go make up.

I can’t praise these enough, I will definitely be purchasing the other products in the range as soon as I can. If you ever get the chance to test these then PLEASE do, I can’t imagine this scent being disliked by anyone. The prices are super reasonable too!

Urban Decay does Alice in Wonderland

Hey beauties,

Now I’m sure all you beauty fans out there are fully aware of this anticipated release that will be coming to the UK this month. UD junkies got the chance to order this from 1st May and from what I gather it sold out pretty quick, I live in England and that unfortunately means I don’t get access to be a UD junkie.

I’d say Urban Decay is my favourite high end beauty brand and there isn’t one product I’ve used that I’m not impressed with. When this launch got revealed I literally squealed with excitement. The packaging and the shades of both lipstick and eye shadow just got me so excited to buy this and although some shades aren’t massively wearable in the palette, I’m super excited to experiment with some colour in the Summer.

It is still unclear when this is out in the UK, however they have confirmed it will be before 27th May, when the brand new Alice in Wonderland film hits cinemas. If you’re interested in this range to then head to ‘Feel Unique’ and register to receive an email once they’re out.

I definitely want to get my hands on the eye shadow palette and ideally I’d love all the lipsticks too, however the main 2 I want to purchase are Mad Hatter (bright purple shimmer) and Alice (nude shimmer). If I don’t get my hands on any of these I’m going to be one super unhappy girl!

Do you live in the US and have gotten your hands on these already? Let me know!

Kylie Jenner Lip Kit Review

Hey!

So as promised in my last post, I am going to do a review on the Kylie Jenner lip kits. I recently purchased Candy K and Kourt K. Candy K is the only one I’ve worn out for a full day but all of the colours are the same formula.

If I’m being honest, I wish I hadn’t of bought Kourt K as one of my first shades, I think Koko K and Posie K are much more my colours and wearable shades. I thought Kourt K was going to be a slightly lighter, more electric purple like the Mac shade ‘Heroine’. I do love the colour but I think I’m going to have to wait until Summer and to get a tan before I can brave wearing it out. Anyone who can pull off dark, autumnal colours then this shade is definitely for you.

Candy K on the other hand is 100% my colour and I absolutely LOVE it. I’d say it was more brown toned than what I thought but it is such a nice colour and I think it would suit all hair colours and skin tones. It’s like a ‘your own lips, but better’ shade.

You cannot fault the staying power in these products. I wore Candy K from about 9am – 8pm and it survived train journeys, hours of shopping and a meal out too. When I came to topping it up in the evening it had slightly worn away on the side of my lips but other than that I was really happy with how it looked.

Overall, I’m really pleased I bought these and I can’t wait to collect more shades. They are pretty pricey and came to about £65 for both of them (including delivery and customs). I have tried another brands liquid lipstick since getting these and you can definitely tell the difference in how they dry, the pigmentation and of course the staying power.

I’d love to know what you guys think if you’ve purchased any of these.

Superdrug ‘New In’ wishlist..

Hello guys,

So I often find myself on Superdrug ‘new in’ page, making a mental note of all the products I want to try out so thought I’d show you a few that caught my eye this time round.

9002676092958.jpg

I usually apply gel to my own nails and haven’t invested in a nail varnish for about a year, however these new ‘Barry M – Coconut Infusion Nail Paints‘ really caught my eye, both for the gorgeous colours and the fact they contain a blend of coconut oil and water. I hope to grab myself a couple of these soon.

The ‘MUA – Pout Prime‘ was a product that excites me, A LOT. I have recently purchased myself some Kylie Lip Kits (post will follow) and when first applying these it made my lips super dry and I often suffer with chapped lips, so I’m hoping when I get my hands on this beauty that it will do the trick and help lipstick stay on, as well as keep my lips hydrated.

The ‘Revlon Colorstay Foundation‘ isn’t a new product itself however this is a new formula. I’ve never tried the old one but it’s a product I’ve heard really good reviews on so I hope I can get my hands on one soon. This also comes in a large range of shades.

Another Revlon product, the ‘Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor’, this is my preferred shade in ‘Seduction’. I’m really into matte lip colours at the moment so hope to get my hands on this soon. Again, it’s another product I’ve heard good reviews on.

This is the ‘Sleek Cream Contour Kit in Light’ I’m not the best at contour, especially cream ones but I really want to be able to get better, I saw this kit and it comes in some shades that I don’t think look too orange toned. Sleek isn’t a brand I’m massively into but I really want to try this before it goes out of stock.

Is there anything new that you think I should try? and let me know if you think I should do these every month or so.

Look Incredible Beauty Box

Hey guys,

I’ve been wanting to sign up to a monthly beauty box for absolutely ages but didn’t want to waste money on one that wasn’t worth it. I did so much research into all the different brands, and it was actually a post I saw on here that made me choose the ‘Look Incredible’ beauty box. I received my first one this week so thought I’d talk you through what I got, I’ll also give feedback on products I’d recommend from the box once I’ve used them a few times

First of all, the packaging is simple but really luxe considering the box itself is £18.99. In the box I got 5 branded products. I also received a card which had a small paragraph on each of the products and a price on how much they would have come to if ordered on their own, for this box it was £81.99!!

The first product I saw was the ‘Laura Geller – Spackle Under eye Eye Primer’. I don’t tend to use under eye primers so I’m interested to see if this makes a difference to my skin, it does say it brightens though and I’m all up for anything that brightens.

Next was the ‘SmashBox – Blush Soft Light Duo’, I was super excited when I saw this as recently I’ve been wanting to purchase some products from the SmashBox range. This has a gorgeous pinky/champagne highlighter and a coral/pink blush. This looks like the shade blush I would usually chose so I’m hoping this lives up to my expectations.

Another product I was super excited about was the ‘Urban Decay – Super-Saturated High Gloss Lip Colour’ in Adrenaline. I’ve never seen or used a lip product like this, its a chunky pencil and has so much glitter as well as pigment. I swatched this briefly on my lips and I think it would give the PERFECT look to any ‘night out’ make up look.

A product and brand that I wasn’t familiar with was the ‘Velvet 59 – My Fair Lashes’ mascara. The wand is really interesting, it has a flat side and goes in about 3/4 of the way up the wand. I’m hard to please when it comes to mascara so I’m interested to try this out.

Finally, the ‘L’oreal Paris – Nutri-Gold Silk’ day moisturiser. I tested this out on the back of my hand and it has a really thick consistency and usually I tend to avoid moisturisers like that as I don’t have the time to wait for them to dry before applying my base make up, especially before work. I do like L’oreal products, both make up and skin care so I’m hoping this is no exception.

Thank you for reading you lovely bunch. It’d be good to know what beauty boxes you guys are subscribed to and if you’ve tried any of the products I’ve received this month.
