OOTD – Summer casual

Hey guys,

As some of you will know, here in the UK we don’t have a solid Summer. It can be blasting sun and heat one minute and the next we’ll be soaked by heavy rain. Even on the brightest of days I still don’t have much confidence in the weather to go out in shorts or vest tops.

I thought I’d do a little OOTD post with an outfit I’ve been leaning towards a lot recently in this crazy bipolar weather. It’s super comfortable, affordable and a casual day-to-day outfit choice.

Top – Primark £13ish (They also do it in other colours like pink)

Jeans – Topshop Joni Black ripped jeans £38

Shoes – Schuh own brand slip on £25

Bag – Accessorise (Not available anymore)

Sunglasses – ASOS Quay Australia (Not available anymore)

Necklace – Kit Heath £60

Spring/Summer shoe wishlist

Hey beauties,

Payday was this week and of course I’ve found myself on Asos nearly everyday since. I’ve now developed a wish list of about £1000 and after looking through it I’ve realised the majority of it is shoes. I just thought I’d share a few pairs I’m looking to buy, the weather here in England at the moment is so hit and miss. I’m hoping that soon the sun will start to show and I’ll be able to spend my days in some gorgeous summer shoes.

Rose gold flat shoes

Everything about these shoes excites me so much! The pointed toes, strap around the ankle and obviously the rose gold colour. They’re a very reasonable price of £29 and I think they’re a real statement piece in my wardrobe. If you haven’t noticed yet, I really like a simple outfit with accessories and footwear that turn it around.

Pastel pink Toms

I haven’t owned a pair of Toms in a couple of years and I have no idea why not. They have some lovely designs and they’re the most comfortable Summer shoes I have ever worn. Pastel pink is a huge favourite of mine at the moment and I guarantee these will be well worn throughout Summer.

ORBIT caged heels

I tend not to buy heels, I definitely can’t wear anything with a thin heels as I find them so uncomfortable. If I do opt for a pair of heels I like to go for chunky ones, they’re much more sturdy and I actually find them really comfortable. These shoes really took my attention and although the heel isn’t huge, they would still look nice to dress up a casual outfit. The colour would really fit in well with my wardrobe at the moment.

Mouse face ballet flats

If you’ve read my recent post on bags then you’ll know that I’ve become a real sucker for novelty accessories. These shoes unfortunately aren’t in my size anymore as they’re in the sale for £12.50 but they are the cutest shoes ever. I’m not officially on the lookout for any shoe of this sort so PLEASE let me know if you come across any

What shoes are you loving for Spring/Summer?

OOTD – Belated Mother’s Day Meal

Hey guys,

So last Sunday I went for a belated Mother’s day meal at Jamies Italian with all my family. I thought I’d do a post on my chosen outfit.

The grey floaty dress was £8 from Primark. I paired that with a Pretty Twisted Hamsa choker and a precious stone necklace that I received as a gift last year. I haven’t got a picture to show my footwear but I wore my black Primark suede Chelsea boots.

To add a bit of colour I chose Mac’s ‘Herione’ Matte lipstick and on my eyes I wore the Naked Palette 3. The colours: Dust, Liar and Blackheart on the outer corner.

This is a post that I haven’t tried out before so let me know what you think!

Lucky Dip Golden Egg

Hey guys,

So a couple of weeks ago, my favourite online jewellery store announced the release of some limited edition Golden Eggs. Each egg would contain 5 pieces of ‘spring time’ jewels.

With these eggs being limited edition (and only £12!!!) it did mean that there weren’t that many going on sale, so when the time came to purchase them, it was a fight against my laptop to try and get mine into the basket and paid for before everyone else got their hands on them.

I thought I’d give you guys a little post on what was in my egg and why I LOVED it so much.  After opening the package this is how it came, so much effort in the little touches, just another reason why I love the company. (I should have waited until I got home to open them rather than at work but I was way too excited!)

The 5 pieces I received were: A honeycomb and bee necklace, a rabbit necklace, a deer necklace, a rabbit pin badge and a dandelion adjustable ring.

None of these pictures to the jewels any sort of justice because they are truly gorgeous. Everyone check out Cheap Frills. They’re also on Facebook and Instagram. They often put on awesome offers and I guarantee you’ll love their jewels as much as me!

Have a good weekend guys,

Favourite ASOS brands..

Hey guys,

I haven’t written a clothing fashion post yet and after doing some online shopping I thought I’d write about a few brands on ASOS that i’m really loving at the moment, all for different reasons.

I recently got given a new job within my company and it’s the first time that I’m going to have to dress in smart/office wear. I’m really finding this difficult at the moment as I’m definitely the type of girl to choose comfort over looking smart. ASOS has made the whole process a little less frustrating so I wanted to share a few of my favourite brands (and items) that I’ve recently spotted, some related to work wear and some to general casual wear.

  1. MONKI

This brand is so up my street, not necessarily for office wear but definitely casual. It’s got a lot of cloths which I find quite flattering, plus it is so reasonably priced. Here are a few of my favourites within their current collection.

2. Quay Australia

I’m not usually one to obsess over sunglasses, however since I started wearing glasses last year they have become a massive part of any outfit. I cannot wait for summer and half of the reason is down to this brand. Check out some of my favourites below.

3. Fashion Union

This is a very ‘boho’ brand and some of the clothes are gorgeous office wear too. It’s really reasonably priced and perfect Spring/Summer wear. Some of the clothes are super skimpy and not for my figure but there are a few absolutely beautiful products, see them below.

4. ASOS own brand

This is fast becoming one of my favourite brands. The clothes are amazing quality and the price is equally as impressive. The variety in office wear, as well as casual wear, is brilliant. My basket is always full of products from ASOS own brand and I’m pretty sure they cater for all sizes, shapes and heights.

5. Skinnydip

This brand is so unique, their bags brighten up any outfit and the other accessories they have are so fun. Some of the products are slightly pricey but I’m yet to come across another brand who offers these sort of designs. I’m a massive fan of their bags and I’m looking forward to treating myself to some to go with my office outfits.

I hope you’ve enjoyed looking at some of the ASOS products and brands that I’m loving at the moment. If you know any brands that you think will sell some office wear that I’ll like then please let me know as I’m always on the look out.

Thank you for reading,

My ‘go to’ shoes..

Hey guys,

I LOVE my shoes and as much as I wish I could wear heels everyday, I’m much more into my comfy shoes and flats. I just thought I’d write a post on the shoes that I ‘go to’ with any outfit and also where you can buy them.

I’m going to start off with one of the reasons I wanted to write this post, to show off my new babies! I saw these last year and everywhere I looked, these were sold out. Until a couple of weeks ago I saw an ad come up on the internet showing these beauties, I instantly clicked on them and got my card out ready to buy them, I didn’t even care how much they were going to cost me. Luckily for me, the only had 1 pair left, which were in my size and they were in the sale at Office for £35!! Rose gold is my absolute favourite at the minute and I just couldn’t say no.

These next pairs are my main ‘go to’ shoes, I find them super comfortable and think they look good with anything from jeans to skirts. The ones on the right are Schuh own brand, they cost £25 and I can’t wait to wear these when it gets a little warmer with some light denim jeans, I can already tell I’m going to get lots of wear out of these. The ones in the middle are from New Look, I got these in the sale for about £6. These took a long time to wear in as the material is quite hard, however I think they are a gorgeous statement piece. They can glam up a plain outfit and I find it so hard to turn down something with all over glitter. Finally, the ones on the right are from Primark and cost around £4, these speak for themselves, I wear a lot of black and these will go with everything. I’ve already worn these a lot and they were really easy to wear in, the only problem I faced was the sizing of them, I am a size 3 and I found them quite big so would recommend trying them on beforehand.

Finally, I have my Vans, I have gone through so many black Authentic pairs but fancied something a little different so got these beautiful glitter Sk8-hi’s from Schuh, these cost around £60. I had seen a few different designs on vans recently, none of them really took my fancy but as I stated earlier, I can never say no to anything glittery so I just knew I had to have them. They also do some slip-on versions but decided these would add a little more diversity to my shoe collection.

So, those were my ‘go to’ shoes and I absolutely love them. As I said previously, I am a huge van of comfy shoes and who says flats can’t be glamourous?! I hope you liked the post and I would love to hear any recommendations you may have!
